Welland manufacturers' reception

WELLAND, December 6, 2006 – Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sandra Pupatello was keynote speaker at a manufacturers’ reception hosted by the Welland/Pelham Chamber of Commerce.

The Minister spoke about how the government is working with the manufacturing sector to boost innovation and competitiveness.

The event was also an important opportunity for the Minister to hear from company officials about the issues facing the manufacturing industry.

Universal Resource Recovery Inc. is the most recent addition to Welland’s manufacturing community with plans to open a resource recycling facility.
